John is NCRC’s Director of Development. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and has lived in Washington, DC since 2007. Most recently, he served as co-chair of DC Council Member Jack Evans mayoral campaign and as Executive Director of the Combined Federal Campaign-National Capital Area.

John has extensive fundraising, program management and organizational experience having worked for the American Cancer Society in California and in the Mid-Atlantic. In the South Bronx, he developed low income tax credit housing and supported housing for formerly homeless, mentally ill-chemically addicted individuals. He was a teacher in the NYC public school system and in Jewish and Roman Catholic parochial schools.

John was ordained as a Catholic Priest and served in NYC parishes and in the Vatican.

He received a B.A. from St. John’s University with a major in English and a minor in Secondary Education, completed graduate work from Brooklyn College and a received a M.Div. from the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington, NY.
