“Can you fit a bulletproof vest under your prom dress?” “Why is my body more policed than a gun?” At the March for Our Lives in Washington, D.C. the posters proffered by protesters ranged from the plaintive (“How many more?” “Protect kids, not guns.”) to the tongue-in-cheek (“The 2nd Amendment doesn’t even make sense grammatically—seriously, have you read it? It’s a mess.”) but the messaging was the same across the board: Enough is enough.
