Established in 2008, NCRC’s Housing Counseling Network provides operational oversight, technical assistance and support to local housing counseling agencies throughout the nation.
NCRC pursues and administers private and federal funding sources to support housing counseling activities.
Network members are selected for HCN through a vigorous screening process, which guarantees consumers the delivery of exceptional programs and services.
HCN Benefits:
Consolidated and simplified reporting system through NCRC
Single NCRC point of contact, instead of a POC-per-funder
Access to HCN funding opportunities, such as the HUD Comprehensive Housing Counseling Program
Industry networking and shared learning opportunities with HCN agencies
HCN serves our agencies, which in turn serve tens of thousands of households each year.

Interested in joining HCN?
NCRC will launch an Open Enrollment application period for HCN from May 15 to June 13, 2025. While HCN has a focus on increasing its rural population served in this round of selections, all HUD-approved housing counseling agencies are welcome to apply.
Please note that agencies must become NCRC members if they are selected.
