2021 Virtual HAC National Rural Housing Conference
November 30, 2021 , 11:30 am EST – December 3, 2021 , 2:30 pm EST
Housing Assistance Council’s (HAC) biennial National Rural Housing Conference (NRHC) brings together practitioners and stakeholders from across the field of rural affordable housing and community development. Local nonprofit practitioners, federal agency staff, members of Congress, state and local government officials, along with other industry leaders will come together for two-and-a-half days of networking, training, and idea-sharing.
This year’s Conference features more than 30 workshops, where participants will interact and engage around best practices for rural housing and community development, organizational management, and resource development. The Conference also includes a pre-conference day packed with gatherings for coalitions, associations, and working groups. Throughout, participants will hear from and learn innovative approaches to housing and community development from industry experts, as well as their peers.
In addition to the extensive learning enrichment opportunity, this Conference offers an excellent opportunity to connect and engage with federal agency staff, national housing organizations, and on-the-ground practitioners from across rural America. For many, this Conference represents the only opportunity to connect directly with federal policymakers, housing experts, and other vested stakeholders.
This year, as we celebrate HAC’s 50th anniversary, we will use this opportunity to reflect on how our last half-century of helping to build vibrant rural communities has inspired our future. What could be a better opportunity to reimagine how we build communities, to adapt to the unique housing challenges of the present, and to harness the innovation of rural America?
