Racial Equity Basics: An Actionable Plan Forward
September 12, 2022 , 10:00 am EDT – 3:30 pm EDT
Our society is amid two pandemics. We have been experiencing a health pandemic that we are trying to slowly recover from, as well as a racial pandemic, which has plagued our nation since its inception.
Institutional racism has and continues to provide economic advantages to White people while preventing wealth creation for the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community.
Join NCRC for this course which will introduce the history of race and racism in the United States and how it shows up in all areas in our society. We will discuss tangible examples of what racial equity work looks like and how it can be done within organizations, as well as how racism may show up within organizations. We all have a role to play in establishing an anti-racist society. Together, we will embark on a racial equity journey that will help leadership better understand racial economic inequalities and the challenges of ?nancial security for BIPOC.
This course will also help to educate leaders on how to strengthen their advocacy and programmatic efforts by establishing a plan for how organizations can work towards a racially equitable society.
