Using the HMDA Longitudinal Dataset, this interactive map shows the geographic spread of originations at the metro-, county-, and Census tract-level throughout the United States in circles of various sizes. High Minority (50-80%) and Very High Minority (> 80%) are shown in light purple and dark purple, respectively.
- Use the slider on the bottom right to navigate between 1981 and 2021 in your area to see how lending patterns have changed.Â
- Click on any Census tract to get information on lending performance in that neighborhood compared to the rest of the metro area as well as metro area statistics showing the distribution of originations by HRI grade and by minority population.
