DCWBC’s Small Business Borrowing Basics Series (3-part)

NCRC’s DC Women’s Business Center (DCWBC) alongside the Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB) is hosting a three-part Small Business Borrowing Basics Series that will provide attendees with information on the types of capital available and how to secure it, small business lending alternatives and programs, and negotiating tactics when obtaining business debt.
Part 1: How to Secure Business Capital
On March 8, part one of this series will educate small businesses on what steps should be taken when looking to obtain small business capital, including assessing when to secure a loan and determining how much to apply for. This session will also touch on loans, grants, and crowdfunding options.
Part 2: Small Business Lending Alternatives
On March 15, part two of this series will discuss the types of funding available and lending alternatives to small businesses seeking funding.
Part 3: Understanding Cash Flow & Negotiating Your Loan
On March 21, part three of this series will focus on educating attendees on cash flow and how it impacts your ability to get funding. It will also provide tips on what to expect when negotiating your loan terms.
