In the aftermath of a disaster, communities and residents rely on nonprofits agencies to provide necessary resources and services to help them return to pre-disaster state.  These nonprofits often are just as impacted as the communities they serve. Agencies can best support their communities in disaster preparedness, response and recovery when they have the proper tips and strategies themselves.  This webinar will review a helpful guide that agency leadership can utilize to prepare for disaster, avoid risk to organizational assets and ensure the organization remains strong and capable to provide support to the community through each phase of a disaster.

You Will Learn:

  • Learn how to assess your organization, identify potential risks then mitigate unnecessary loss and negative impact to your agency.
  • Understand how assembling an effective and diverse Emergency Preparedness Team to develop and implement emergency plans can safeguard the assets and operations of your organization.
  • Gain knowledge about plans and policies, then explore how to use these provided tools to successfully lead your agency through each phase of a disaster.
  • Discuss how building strong partnerships with other community stakeholders can increase capacity and ensure local residents have access to necessary resources needed to manage impact and restore the community to normalcy.
