Dia Henderson
Dia Henderson is the Program Manager for Community Impact at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) and a proud Milwaukee, Wisconsin native. With a background in housing initiatives, Dia has focused on connecting residents to quality housing opportunities in Milwaukee through community outreach and organizational partnerships. She holds a master’s degree in educational policy from Marquette University, where her passion for helping others and support for equitable housing grew. In her current role at NCRC, Dia is dedicated to supporting other organizations in their initiatives to create positive change and improve their communities.

Laura Bentley joined NCRC in 2024 as the Director of Grant Administration for the Community Impact team.
Prior to NCRC, Laura served as Director of the Direct Community Investments department (DCI) with the Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC), a CDFI based in DC. In this role, she oversaw the launch of the department in 2020 and the subsequent administration of $115 million in privately and publicly funded grant programs to over 5,000 awardees across Maryland, Virginia and DC.
Earlier in her career, Laura worked as a Tax Technology Consultant with PwC Argentina, where she developed automated databases for international transfer pricing clients. Passionate about entrepreneurship as a catalyst for building wealth, she has also been involved with organizations such as the Barcelona-based AFAEMME and the Boston-based Center for Women & Enterprise, which assist women in business to grow their companies and realize their full potential.
Laura’s professional background blends business insights, data analytics, and digital systems development to design programs through a community-focused lens. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Connecticut College in Economics and Hispanic Studies.
Luis Ortiz
Luis Ortiz has been with NCRC since 2012. As the Senior Grants Specialist, he oversees the grant application process as well as being in charge of grant compliance. Prior to NCRC Luis helped families build wealth through homeownership as a mortgage banker. He then moved to NCRC and as a Housing Counselor helping families navigate the loss mitigation process. He then became a Regional coordinator, managing NCRC’s Housing Counseling Network. One of Luis’s passions is assisting underserved communities in reaching their homeownership goals.
