The Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Department of Treasury have announced that they have initiated the Paycheck Protection Program, a mobilization effort of banks and other lending institutions to provide small businesses with the assistance they need.
The Paycheck Protection Program is part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. This is a nearly $350-billion program intended to provide American small businesses and nonprofits with eight weeks of cash-flow assistance through 100% federally guaranteed loans.
