Improving Programs & Delivery Services of Nonprofits
November 10, 2020, 2:00 pm EST - 3:30 pm EST
Most non-profit organizations and the programs they offer were created to address the needs of the communities around them. Today, we serve members of an ever-changing community that are more diverse and face situations unimaginable to most of us, even, just a few months ago. These situations have left some nonprofit leaders grappling just to keep up with the community and agency needs. Now, because of the pandemic and other circumstances, some state and local governments as well as many for profit entities have stepped into the immediate need arena to assist the community residents in their business footprint. Nonprofit leaders and program managers are challenged to ensure new opportunities reach their residents; develop quality programs that meet the deliverables required by their funders; and provide mission aligned resources that truly address the needs of the community.
This two-part series will discuss the nuts and bolts of program development and delivery. We will also explore how incorporating insight and prospective from a broad spectrum of the community may enhance capacity, funding, and productivity. Even the best leaders and program developers may have trouble presenting new concepts or programs to their board or the community. This webinar will study typical challenges facing program managers in various avenues of service delivery and offer tips to incorporate collaborative planning and presentation skills to overcome these challenges.
