Community Organizations to Gather at NCRC Conference

Washington, DC – From March 12 – 15, the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) will hold its annual conference, and bring together hundreds of community organizations from across the nation. This year’s conference theme is “A Just Economy: Ideas, Action, Impact.”

Featured speakers at this year’s conference include: Senator Elizabeth Warren; Shaun Donovan, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; Steven Antonakes, Deputy Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau; Thomas Curry, Comptroller of the Currency; Senator Tom Harkin; Rev. Dr. William Barber II, President of the North Carolina NAACP; and Martin Gruenberg, FDIC Chairman and more.

The conference also features workshops and state-of-the-art training to give NCRC’s members and conference participants the tools to implement change in their communities. The slate of workshops includes sessions on housing, access to capital and credit, fair lending, business development, and workforce and community development.
